Introduction to Restoration Course – Summer 2004

As 2004 has been designated the “Macao Cultural Heritage Preservation Year” the Museum of Macao will organize an Introduction to Restoration Course – Summer 2004 for the summer activity, open to the public and youngsters who attend secondary school, motivating the younger generation to question the conservation of cultural heritage of Macao.

The “Introduction to Restoration Course – Summer 2004 will focus on the pratical and theoretical aspects of monument restoration and conservation. With this activity we hope that the participants can learn about restoration and cultural iniciatives which are carried out in  Macau relating to conservation and restoration of monuments.

 Enrolment conditions:

 Youngsters and Macao students with secondary school education between 16 to 30 years old (the course will be in cantonese)

 Due to renovation  works of the Museum, from 21st June to 1st July, the enrolment place and collection of enrolment form will be at the Administration Building.

 Time :      10 : 00 a.m ~ 5 : 30 p.m.

       

        Those interested should write a text ( not less than 500 words) about one of the themes proposed by the Museum and hand over to the Museum counter between 12th June and 1st July together with the enrolment form, photocopy of BIR, one colour photo and a photocopy of family guardian BIR. The Museum will select the candidates by evaluating their texts and inform the candidates if they are accepted by telephone. The referred course is free.
