Macao Museum

Guia Chapel


  The Guia Chapel is located in the Guia Fortress, one of the heritage sites belonging to the Historic Centre of Macao. Built in 1622, the Chapel was used for the worship of Nossa Senhora da Guia (Our Lady of Guia). In 1996, frescoes containing religious motifs and mythological inspiration were uncovered in the chapel The duality of their Western and Chinese artistic character is rarely seen in China.

Guia Fortress and Information Centre: 9:00am-6:00pm (No admission after 5:30pm)

Guia Chapel: 10:00am-6:00pm
