The docent service constitutes an important part of Museum education. Through the guidance provided by docents, the public can gain an in-depth understanding of the historical background and significance of exhibits. Hence, the docent represents a vital communication bridge between museums and the public.

Docent services are provided in Cantonese, Mandarin or English on every Saturday and Sunday. Docent services for the public, residents and tourists are welcome to join sessions without making an advance booking.

Docent services will be specially arranged whenever a temporary exhibition is held at the Macao Museum.

Applications for School Visits

The Macao Museum welcomes officially registered kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities to arrange school visits or educational activities at the Museum.

Interested parties who want to book this service can download and complete the following form and fax it to the Macao Museum on 853-2835 8503; the booking should be made seven working days prior to the date of visit. The Museum will reply within seven working days from the day following receipt of the application, and make visit arrangements according to the chronological order of the application.

Travel agencies who wish to register for special offers for visiting the Macao Museum are required to submit the following documents:

1)Download and complete application form to register for special offers for travel agencies;

download forms：Register for Travel Agency Groups

2)A copy of Industrial Tax (M8 Form) of the year issued by the Financial Bureau of Macao SAR Government;

3)A valid registration copy issued by the Macao SAR Tourist Office(MGTO);

Upon completing the application form, applicants should return or fax the above documents to the Macao Museum.
