Rouge-de-fer decorated armorial porcelain high-footed dish with patterns of flowers and birds traced in gold.
The outer ring of the dish is decorated with auspicious Chinese patterns. In the centre of the dish is a Portuguese coat of arms, which is flanked by patterns of peacocks and pheasants. Such patterns are rarely seen in porcelain exports to Europe. The colour of rouge-de-fer looks gorgeous and the gold colour appears magnificent. The combination of the two brings out the elegance of the dish.

This Canton famille rose vase is shaped like a cloth bag, the middle part of which is square with designs including a Portuguese coat of arms, accompanied by a colourful ribbon pattern with the inscription of “The Governor’s Palace”. It is embellished with flowers, birds, butterflies, insects, fishes, beasts and figures. While preserving traditional Chinese patterns, it also imitates western styles of artistic representation.

This globular vase follows the style of the famille verte export porcelain of the 18th century. It is decorated with a Portuguese coat of arms, accompanied by a colourful ribbon pattern with the inscription of “The Governor’s Palace”. The body of the vase is painted with flowers, dotted with geometric patterns, and elaborately matched with commonplace Chinese patterns of flowers and birds and scenes of daily life.
