In order to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Macao Museum, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, organises the exhibition “Assemblage of Treasures – Exhibition of the Macao Museum Collection for Celebration of the 20th Anniversary”, to be inaugurated on 28 September (Friday), at 6pm, at the lobby of the Macao Museum. The exhibition runs from 29 September 2018 to 24 February 2019 (closed on Mondays). The exhibition features over eighty items/ sets of treasures selected from exquisite collections of the Museum, thereby showcasing the continuous dedication of the Macao Museum in collecting historical relics with cultural and artistic value related to Macao.

The exhibition is divided into six sections ─ “Lingnan Paintings”, “European Traveller’s Paintings”, “Style and Life”, “The Multicultural Macao”, “Exhibition Overview” and “Education Space”, highlighting the cultural exchanges between East and West for over four hundred years. On 27 October (Saturday), the organiser will hold a thematic talk entitled “Appreciating the paintings in the Exhibition of the Macao Museum Collection for Celebration of the 20th Anniversary” by the Director of the Macao Museum of Art, Chan Kai Chon.
