Museums in Macao have jointly organised a Fair at the Cultural Centre Plaza on 3rd May 2009, providing game booths, stage and performances. Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services and the Opium War Museum in Dongguan in Guangdong were also invited to participate in the event in order to promote the museum culture of Hong Kong and Guangdong to Macao residents.

The Macao Museum is a space dedicated to the history and culture of Macao, possessed of a vast number of objects of historical and cultural value, which demonstrate the way of life of the various communities that have inhabited the city for centuries.
