Ceramic coaster - Rouge-de-fer coaster with auspicious patterns traced in gold

Price: MOP25.00

Collection Description:

Rouge-de-fer decorated armorial porcelain high-footed dish with patterns of flowers and birds traced in gold.

The outer ring of the dish is decorated with auspicious Chinese patterns. In the centre of the dish is a Portuguese coat of arms, which is flanked by patterns of peacocks and pheasants. Such patterns are rarely seen in porcelain exports to Europe. The colour of rouge-de-fer looks gorgeous and the gold colour appears magnificent. The combination of the two brings out the elegance of the dish.
