Macao Museum will launch a series of temporary exhibitions featuring intangible cultural heritage from the fourth quarter. The first exhibition is themed ‘Heavenly Harmonies – Taoist Ritual Music in Macao’. The traditional Taoist music is part of folk music. Nearly 500 examples of Ceremonial Taoist Music have been preserved in Macao until present. It was successfully inscribed on the Tentative List of MSAR Intangible Cultural Heritage Items in 2009.
